Questions and Answers

Which formats and systems does Echoplasm support?

VST3, AU, CLAP, Standalone, on macOS 11 Big Sur or later, Apple Silicon and Intel (Universal), and Windows 10 or later, 64-bit. Pro Tools (AAX) is planned after launch.

How many computers can I use it on?

Up to 3 at once. Deactivate one from the plugin (About Echoplasm) or your account to free its place.

Do I need to be online?

Only once, to activate. After that Echoplasm works offline. Computers that are never online can use offline activation from your account.

I got a new computer. What do I do?

Install Echoplasm on it and click Activate. If you’re at the limit, deactivate the old computer first, from your account if the old one is gone.

Where do I download my purchase again?

From your account, at any time.

What happens when the trial ends?

Echoplasm passes audio through untouched, so your projects still open and play. Buy a licence and it carries on where you left off.

Are updates free?

Yes, for the life of the product. Download the latest version from your account.

Can I get a refund?

No: the 14-day trial is the full plugin, so you can make sure it works for you before you buy. If you were charged by mistake (for example, twice), we’ll put it right. See the refund policy.

My DAW doesn’t find Echoplasm.

Rescan plugins. On macOS the plugins are in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins (VST3, Components and CLAP); on Windows, in C:\Program Files\Common Files (VST3 and CLAP). In Logic Pro, check the Plug-in Manager.

The echoes aren’t in time with my song.

Echoplasm follows the host’s tempo. If its menu bar says “(default)”, the host isn’t sending a tempo and Echoplasm uses 120 BPM.

Why does Echoplasm add latency?

Splitting sound into frequency bands takes a little time (about 59 ms at 48 kHz). Echoplasm reports it to your DAW, which lines everything up automatically.

Can I share my patterns?

Yes: File → Export GIF saves the canvas as a GIF that opens again exactly in Echoplasm, every frame and colour included.

Can I sell music I make with it?

Of course. You own what you make; there are no royalties.
